Hello! My name is Jessie. I’m a 34-year-old physician assistant (PA) formerly based in Durham, North Carolina. I recently resigned from my job to pursue one of my dreams of traveling the world without a return date. I had been in my previous position for about 7.5 years when I decided to switch up my life and make this change.

I started this travel blog back in the fall of 2017 as a personal travel diary. I really enjoy photography and this website provides me a creative outlet to display my photos for family and friends. I invested in a nicer camera when I started traveling more frequently, and I didn’t want my photos to waste away on a memory card never to be seen again.

On a more peronal note, I suffered a stroke back in August of 2018. I still don’t have a clear answer as to why this happened to me. I’ve come to accept that I’ll never know for sure, but what I do know is that I’ve made a full recovery and I’m forever grateful that I have no residual deficits! You can read more about that here…
